As specified by the QSFP28 MSA, digital diagnostics are also provided via the I2C interface to allow access to real-time operating parameters. These features make this easy-to-install, hot-swappable transceiver suitable for a variety of applications such as 100G Ethernet, data center and storage area network applications.
